Our most beautiful out of the Clara Jacket series to date, if you ask me! In April of 2025 I was invited to visit Antigua, Guatemala and experience its heritage in textiles. We met individuals involved in keeping their crafts alive through women’s cooperatives and leaned how their textiles are made. I got the chance to take some vintage Cortes home, a loop made of an often back strap woven piece of fabric, joined with individual embroidery and worn together with a Huipil, both part of Guatemalan traditional clothing. The embroidery has its very owe meaning depending on where the crafts woman that made it is from. I am proud to take a piece of Guatemalan culture back home, individually manufactured at our Hamburg tailor.
Our series of revive pieces are all handmade from locally sourced vintage textiles. The shapes and cuts are adapted to fit the fabric perfectly.
